The Role of Local Complexity in the Incompatibility of Quantum Observables
Hamed Tayeb, Yama Aseel
Abstract
The incompatibility of quantum observables is one of the fundamental concepts in quantum mechanics, rooted in the mathematical structure of quantum operators and the uncertainty principle. It plays a pivotal role in explaining the behavior of quantum systems, measurement theory, quantum information processing, and quantum computation. In recent years, alongside the rapid development of quantum information and quantum complexity research, increasing attention has been devoted to investigating the factors influencing the behavior of incompatible observables and their relationship with the informational structure of quantum systems. Despite extensive studies on observable incompatibility and quantum complexity, the role of local complexity in the emergence and enhancement of observable incompatibility has not yet been fully clarified. Therefore, the present study aims to investigate and elucidate the role of local complexity in the incompatibility of quantum observables and to analyze the influence of the local interaction structure on measurement behavior in quantum systems. This study employs a descriptive–analytical approach based on an extensive review of authoritative scientific literature, drawing upon operator theory, commutator algebra, quantum information theory, and quantum many-body models. Within this framework, the relationship among local complexity, quantum information distribution, quantum entanglement, and the degree of observable incompatibility is systematically examined, and a conceptual framework is proposed to explain these interrelationships. The findings indicate that increasing local complexity in many quantum systems can enhance quantum correlations and modify the structure of the relevant commutators, thereby influencing the degree of observable incompatibility. Furthermore, the results suggest that local complexity can be regarded as a key factor in improving the understanding of quantum measurement processes, quantum decoherence, and the development of advanced quantum information systems.
