الملخص

In the modern world, the focus of education is shifting from teacher-centered approaches to student-centered learning, where students watched as the primary focus of the learning process. This study evaluates the implementation status, benefits, challenges, and influencing factors of student-centered learning practices at Shaikh Zayed University. It explores perspectives from both instructors and students to provide constructive recommendations for policymakers and academic institutions. Using a quantitative methodology, data collected through online questionnaires from 91 faculty members and 276 students. The findings reveal that student-centered learning enhances active participation, critical thinking, collaborative learning, and the development of individual competencies. However, major challenges identified include insufficient lecturer training, lack of resources, curriculum-related issues, and overcrowded classrooms. This paper provides essential recommendations for the effective implementation of student-centered learning strategies, which play a fundamental role in improving the quality of higher education.
