Abstract
The main objective of this study is to examine the impact of job stress on the performance of employees in higher education institutions in Nimruz. This research is analytical-survey in terms of methodology and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population includes all employees of higher education institutions located in Nimruz province, totaling 150 individuals, out of which 108 were selected as the sample. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire, whose validity was confirmed by experts in economics, and reliability was measured using Cronbach's Alpha test in SPSS software, yielding a value of 0.919. Based on the structural equation modeling, the estimated standardized coefficients (Std. β) were as follows: job stress and employee performance (0.35), workload and employee performance (0.39), role ambiguity and employee performance (-0.58), role conflict and employee performance (0.15), unfavorable work environment and employee performance (-0.21), and job insecurity and employee performance (0.80). Overall, the findings indicate that job stress has a moderate and positive effect on the performance of employees in Nimruz higher education institutions.
